With what frequency can the Gateway collect data from the DynaLoggers?

The shortest collection time allowed is 30 minutes. This means that every 30 minutes the Gateway can collect data from the sensors within its Bluetooth range.

It is important to know the difference between the concept of collection time and sample interval. The first concerns the Gateway, while the second is a setting chosen for a DynaLogger. The measurements collected by a DynaLogger, obtained according to the sample interval, are saved in the DynaLogger’s internal memory until the Gateway, based on the defined collection time, collects and clears the memory of the DynaLogger.

What is the Gateway and why is it used?

The DynaGateway is an automatic data collector, with the objective of interacting with the DynaLoggers within its Bluetooth range. It collects measurements and requests spectral analyses, according to the time intervals defined by the user. These data are sent directly to the DynaPredict Web Platform via an internet connection.

What certifications do the Gateways have?

In Brazil, the DynaGateway is ANATEL approved and in the certification process for INMETRO Explosive Atmospheres/IP Code.

Outside of Brazil, the DynaGateway has the following certifications: FCC (United States), CE RED (Europe), IC (Canada), RCM (Australia).

Certification for SDPPI (Indonesia) is currently in progress.

Is the use of the Gateway mandatory?

The use of the Gateways in the implementation of the system is optional, since its functions can be done in a non-automated way via the app. Its use, however, allows the automation of data collection and sending to the DynaPredict Web Platform, removing the need for the operator to go into the field and making the data available for more frequent analysis.

Is it necessary to release the network to use the Gateways?

Yes, some ports and hostnames need to be released to guarantee a good operation of the DynaGateways. All of the information regarding this is available in the “Prerequisites” page.

Note: The 3G Gateway model is an exception, as its installation occurs in a completely open network.

Is it neccessary to connect to Wi-Fi?

The DynaLoggers are autonomous and offer the possibility to operate completely offline, storing the data collected from the machine in its internal memory according to the sample interval defined by the user. To configure and collect data from the DynaLogger, it is only necessary to have a Bluetooth connection on your smartphone.

An internet connection is only necessary to synchronize the app, i.e. send the collected data from the app to the cloud/Web Platform. This connection can be 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi. The same is true for the DynaGateway (automatic data collector).
